Award and Benefits

Eligible scholars in the junior category will receive a fellowship of up to ₹15,000 per month for a maximum period of 2 years. For senior and post-doctoral categories, the fellowship is ₹20,000 per month, also for a maximum period of 2 years. Additionally, applicants who commit to full-time research may receive up to ₹30,000 per month, with the research period determined by the selection committee.

Who Is Not Eligible

A fellow will not be eligible for any other fellowship offered by the Department in any other category for a period of 10 years from the date of submission of their project. Extensions or grace periods will not be considered under the fellowship financial assistance.
